HP bans sale-purchase of animals at cattle festivals


Hamirpur (HP), Aug 31(UNI) The Himachal Pradesh authorities has imposed a ban on the sale and buy of animals throughout the cattle festivals within the state.

This step has been taken in view of Lumpy pores and skin illness that has been spreading all through the state. It has thus far claimed greater than 1,000 lives of animals, in accordance with a spokesman of the Animal Husbandry division.

In keeping with the report of the State Animal Husbandry Division, thus far 33,966 animals have been discovered contaminated by the virus.

A complete of 91,450 animals have been vaccinated within the state. The division spokesman stated that there have been 23,072 lively instances throughout the state.

Animal Husbandry Division Director, Dr. Pradeep Sharma, stated thus far no instances of lumpy pores and skin virus have been reported from any of the 4 farms of the division.

Instances are developing in personal dairy farms and officers have been requested to maintain an in depth watch and make animal house owners conscious. Vaccination marketing campaign is in full swing.
